License : Valid license and current registration to practice Diagnostic Radiography as a Radiologic Technologist. Certifications : Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association. Must-Have : Advanced-Level Certification from ARRT in one of the following : - ARRT (CI) - Cardiac Interventional Radiology. - ARRT (CV) - Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology. - ARRT (VI) - Vascular Interventional Radiology. Description : The Interventional Radiology Technologist assists interventional radiologists with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. These procedures use instruments to treat various conditions in the body. The technologist is responsible for operating and maintaining specialized imaging equipment. They administer contrast dyes and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure. A valid license and current registration to practice Diagnostic Radiography is required. Possession of a current advanced-level certification from ARRT is necessary. Experienced candidates will have a minimum of one year in a relevant role. Candidates must hold a current Basic Life Support certification from an authorized provider.
