- The Role
This Full Time physician role provides comprehensive health assessments, determining diagnosis, plans and prescribing treatments and managing health care regimens for patients in a low volume Surgical Center Emergency Room setting. Our organization is looking for a flexible, patient-oriented team player. Available positions located in Trophy Club and McKinney. This position is also open for growth into a medical directorship opportunity.
- A Brief Snapshot of Your Duties
- Work as an Emergency Department MD or DO at a low volume ER seeing 3 to 6 patients a day
- Obtain health histories, conduct physical examinations, provide patient care, patient / family education and discharge of patients from facility
- Order, conduct, and interpret diagnostic studies and laboratory tests
- Prescribe or recommend pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies, including controlled medications

- Ability to diagnose and actively manage patient conditions, including evaluation and treatment
- Doctorate degree in medicine (MD or DO)
- Completion of advanced graduate medical education in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine
- Board Certified in FM, EM or IM
- Active Texas Medical License
- Current DEA license with authority to prescribe all levels
- Advanced Trauma Life Support Certification (ATLS) -Preferred but not required
- Flexible Schedule :
- 12 hour or 24 hour shifts
- minimum of 12 shifts a month
- 3 to 6 patients a day
