Child Support Enforcement Specialist
The Mississippi Department of Human Services is dedicated to serving others while providing a wide range of public assistance programs, social services, and support for children, low-income individuals, and families. This position is with the Division of Child Support and will be located in the STATE OFFICE.
The individual selected for this position will research and resolve Child Support cases with financial problems. Handle Child Support checks from Budgets and Accounting. Assist with license suspension, tax offset, and Passport Denial Inquiries. Liaison for Conduent for debit card reversal and other inquiries; liaison for State Disbursement Unit, adding employers with METSS and any other payment inquiries. Work with the MIS Tech Team and the appropriate program area staff to discuss, document, and complete all testing required to successfully complete IT projects before they are implemented in production. Provide customer service to county staff, clients, and other agencies regarding financial inquiries. The worker will be cross-trained with other duties within the Financial Unit.
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience. Agency Preferred Qualifications : Child Support experience with knowledge of the METSS system.
Salary : $47,860.00 - $57,291.45 Annually
