Position Title: Security Clerk (Temp Hire)
Location: Naval Health Clinic Hawaii (NHCH), Building 1750, 480 Central Ave., JBPHH, HI 96860
Salary: $22.00 per hour plus full health and welfare benefits (fringe value $4.93/hr.)
Clearance Required: SECRET Clearance
Work hours: 40 hours per week

A Security Assistant is required to provide Naval Health Clinic Hawaii security administrative support services to include tracking, administering, and processing security requests, file management, preparing forms/reports, and providing administrative support for security administrative programs for the office.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS

• Provide assistance in the processing of daily local agency checks, visit requests and security clearance issues in support of Global War on Terrorism (GWOT). Provide information to personnel in a timely manner and ensure documents are thoroughly checked for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain Security Clearance folders daily and ensure that all correspondence from the Office of Personnel Management is filed and acted upon appropriately.
• Keep an updated daily listing of all command members with active Security Clearances.
• Assist with the daily processing of Common Access Card requests and prepare Base Access Requests for visitors.
• Ensure all daily tasks are completed using DISS and Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e-QIP) to the extent permitted. Experience with fingerprinting equipment, DISS, and other automated security systems is required.
• Attending all mandatory training, including monthly process improvement meetings, safety stand-downs, annual IT systems upgrade training, and command Annual Training.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the local Command Badging System, including the fabrication and programming of badges for members checking in and out of the command.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:

•High School Graduate or GED
• Must have at least one (1) year of experience with Defense Information System for Security (DISS), and a minimum of six months' experience with Microsoft Office and database automation software functions.
• Shall read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently and maintain good communication skills.
• Shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and capable of normal ambulation.
• Must have an active DOD-issued Secret security clearance. Shall be in good standing and under no sanction or suspension by the Federal Government.
• Shall possess and maintain current certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare Providers
