The incumbent will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of concrete to customers driving a truck with a 78,000-pound capacity. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining the quality of the product during delivery. The incumbent will conduct pre- and post-trip inspections including being responsible for thorough cleaning of truck post-delivery. This role is classified as safety sensitive.

Activities/tasks/scope include operating and driving a mixer truck in a safe and efficient manner adhering to the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Greenhill Concrete rules and regulations, visually inspecting the consistency of concrete in the mixer, providing routine maintenance of equipment including fueling, cleaning, tire/light inspection, checking and adding fluids as needed, reporting vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations or damage to the mixer truck, obtaining receipts or signatures for delivered product, driving trucks with capacities of 10 yards of concrete, using water hoses, brushes, and other cleaning supplies to maintain a clean mixer truck, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, completing and maintaining a DOT daily log book, assisting maintenance with repairs as needed, when needed, loading twenty, forty-pound bags of ice into mixer, reading or interpreting maps or GPS devices to determine vehicle routes, operating equipment such as truck cab computers, CB radios, phones, or GPS equipment to exchange information, fluctuating daily start and stop times based on customer demand, maintaining good customer relations by acting in a professional and courteous manner, assisting in training of co-workers as needed, and other duties as assigned.
Performance measures include on time delivery, customer satisfaction, and quality of product at delivery.

Education/experience includes a high school diploma or GED required, must be 18 years or older, have a valid class A or class B CDL license, and 1 year of experience in operating a mixer truck required.
Certification/other skills and abilities include operation and control, operation monitoring, control precision, time management, multilimbed coordination, reaction time, near and far vision.
Physical demands include keyboarding/typing, ability to read effectively from a computer screen and/or a paper copy, ability to handle a large volume of work and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, ability to effectively verbally communicate, ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, and lift heavy objects (50 lbs).
Work environment includes work performed in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to outdoor elements.
