Delivery Lead

Description:

The Delivery Lead will drop off, in some cases install, and pick up items while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules.

• Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner.

• Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, and the customer is satisfied.

• Deliver goods to specific locations determined by clients.

• Complete all PORwork.com tasks at each delivery or pickup via company assigned mobile device. This includes marking items as delivered or picked up, taking pictures, collecting signatures and making notes to orders.

• Follow installation and diagrams assigned to an order. Install and setup to the customers specifications.

• Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles.

• Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients.

• Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.

• Report any issues or delays to the dispatcher in a timely and clear manner.

• Report any order changes or added labor to the dispatcher in a timely and clear manner.

• Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.

• Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries and pickups.

• Keep vehicle organized, clean and tidy.

• Inspect delivery vehicle daily looking for anything problematic (low tire pressure, tire wear, dents, etc.) and report any abnormalities.

• Report any accidents or vehicle issues encountered while on route to supervisors.

• Wear protective or safety attire when needed.

• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards.

• When scheduled after hours, when departing, ensure that warehouse, building and gates are properly locked down and alarms are set

• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Valid driver's license issued by the state where you intend to work.

• Clean driving record.

• Bilingual communication in English and Spanish desirable.

• Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.

• Strong time management and customer service skills.

• Working knowledge of the delivery area.

• Attention to detail.

• Ability to use and navigate a mobile device (tablet or phone).

• Experience using hand trucks, pallet jacks and forklifts is a plus

• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, squat, reach, crouch and kneel, as well as ability to sit or stand for long periods of times.

• Ability to lift 75 pounds.
