We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized professional for a 12-week contract opportunity to support our purchasing assistant.

Key Responsibilities :

• Create and place weekly material orders; track deliveries and expedite open orders with vendors.
• Collaborate closely with the Receiving Department to ensure proper supplies arrive on schedule.
• Close materials and supplies received into the computer database.
• Prepare monthly reports for cycle counts and make inventory adjustments in the computer system.
• Review requisitions for proper approval and account coding.
• Trace delinquent arrivals from purchase orders and follow up with vendors as needed.
• Input, distribute, file, and track purchase orders.
• Support accounts payable with invoice discrepancies and assist accounting with purchase price variance reports.
• Enter various data and prepare regular and ad hoc reports.
• Respond to internal questions related to purchase orders and material flow.
• Participate in yearly physical inventory.
• Support special projects and other duties as assigned by management.
