American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatrics position requiring a CT or compact license and Level I trauma center background.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

Work in the pediatrics unit of a short-term acute care hospital

Primary patient population is pediatric

Average nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 4

Level I Trauma Center environment

Uses Epic for charting with Epic experience preferred

Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 19 : 00 to 07 : 00

Weekend shifts required every other weekend

Floating to other units may be required

Responsibilities include delivering comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in an acute care setting

Position requires flexibility to float between units as needed

Royal blue scrubs must be worn

Pre-start online modules are required and completed prior to assignment and annually

No local candidates are accepted for this assignment

Holiday coverage may be required as scheduled

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Parking is available for a fee

Active CT or compact RN license; pending license accepted with proof of application

BLS certification required

Minimum of 2 years of pediatric RN experience, or 1.5 years with Level I trauma or travel experience

Must have recent Trauma Center experience at a large facility

Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted

COVID vaccine and booster required unless approved for religious or medical exemption

Applicants must live more than 75 miles from the facility

Must provide at least one reference

Returning staff must have a 2-year gap from prior employment to be considered as a traveler
