Position Summary
This hybrid role supports the organization by coordinating and managing the onboarding process for new hires. You will guide candidates through the new hire roadmap, collect and verify confidential information, and keep hiring managers informed of progress. The position is fast-paced and requires sound judgment, strong customer service skills, and the ability to independently manage priorities while maintaining confidentiality and compliance standards.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
OR
One (1) to three (3) years of equivalent experience in an entry-level Human Resources role or as an Administrative Assistant in a Human Resources department
Required Qualifications
Strong customer service orientation
Excellent time management, verbal, and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email applications
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
Preferred Experience and Skills
Experience working in a fast-paced environment and handling confidential information
SHRM, PHR, or SPHR certification
ADP experience
Certification / Licensure Requirements
At least 21 years of age
Valid driver’s license
Valid auto insurance
Key Responsibilities
Provide customer service through phone and in-person interactions with internal and external stakeholders
Communicate with new hires throughout the onboarding process to ensure timely and complete onboarding
Keep HR leaders and hiring managers informed throughout the onboarding process
Conduct pre-employment background checks and verifications
Assist with new hire orientation and overall new hire experience
Collect and complete I-9 documentation
Track and review physicals, drug testing, and TB completion
Complete ADP file uploads and maintain accurate employee and contractor records
Enter and update employee data in the HRIS system
Complete monthly reporting, audits, and employee reports as needed
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
Ensure confidentiality and privacy in all HR processes and documentation
