🔵 Wet Utility Estimator – Heavy Civil / Public Works

đź“Ť Los Angeles, CA (Southern California)

We’re partnering with a well-established wet utility general contractor based in Los Angeles to hire an experienced Estimator to support a strong and growing backlog of municipal and public works projects across Southern California.

This is a great opportunity for an estimator who understands underground utilities and wants to play a key role in winning and pricing complex civil infrastructure work.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for water, sewer, and storm drain projects
  • Perform quantity takeoffs from plans and specifications
  • Analyze labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor pricing
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes
  • Support bid strategy, value engineering, and risk analysis
  • Work closely with operations, project management, and leadership teams
  • Assist with bid submissions, pricing reviews, and handoff to operations

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–10+ years of estimating experience in wet utilities / heavy civil construction
  • Strong understanding of underground utility construction methods and costs
  • Experience bidding municipal / public works projects in Southern California
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and bid documents
  • Proficiency with estimating software (HeavyBid, Bid2Win, or similar preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills
