Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory care services to patients requiring emergency care, intensive care, therapeutic treatment, invasive and non-invasive monitoring, diagnostic testing, and patient education for pulmonary and cardiopulmonary disorders. The therapist will monitor and maintain equipment and participate in quality assurance and improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care services to patients in various settings.
• Monitor and maintain respiratory care equipment.
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities.
• Educate patients on pulmonary and cardiopulmonary disorders.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of RRT experience (required)
• Comfortable with ventilators (required)
• Comfortable with EKGs (required)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NBRC
• State Licenses: Michigan
