ABOUT THE TEAM

The Platform Discovery team sits at the forefront of incubating and maturing high-potential, software-defined, AI-native capabilities designed to solve the newest and most challenging problems across hardware, software, space, and cyber domains. The team architects mission autonomy and mesh networking solutions, delivering scalable hardware and software technologies aligned with urgent national security needs. By working closely with specialized teams in Perception, AI, Motion Planning, Hardware, Test Engineering, Space, Networking, and Vehicle Hardware, the Discovery group develops end-to-end systems that redefine mission success.

ABOUT THE JOB

As a Software Engineer on the Discovery team, you will work on diverse technical problems across networking, autonomy, systems integration, robotics, and other complex domains—balancing engineering rigor with practical tradeoffs. Your work ensures that the company’s products operate seamlessly together to deliver mission-critical results. You will receive mentorship and leadership opportunities, and you will be expected to help set technical direction for engineering teams.

Above all, Software Engineers must embody a “whatever it takes” mindset—executing quickly, pragmatically, and at scale while maintaining high engineering standards and keeping mission outcomes front-and-center. In addition to building software, you will also work directly with customers to deploy capabilities in the field.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Develop tools and capabilities that extend the company’s AI-powered operating system to support command and control of cyber assets, planning and execution of cyber missions, networking, and remote asset management in far-edge environments.
• Collaborate with customers, product designers, and engineering teams to design and build new software products optimized for maximum end-user value.
• Build, test, deploy, and demonstrate mission-critical software in tight feedback loops with end users.
• Travel up to 25% to participate in customer events and deploy capabilities in real-world scenarios.
• Contribute to existing software services across the organization, helping build reusable components that support multiple product lines.
