ARMED SECURITY CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE OFFICER - PT - 3RD SHIFT - SIGN-ON BONUS

Critical Infrastructure Armed Security Officer

Position Overview

Martinez and Company is actively seeking disciplined, dedicated, and well-trained Florida Class "D" and Armed "G" License Security Officers to join our Critical Infrastructure Security Team.

Locations : Hillsborough County and Manatee County, Florida

Employment Type : Part-Time, 3rd Shift

Various Shifts Available : Monday through Sunday

Shift Time : 07 : 00 pm 07 : 00 am

Starting Compensation : $18.00 - $24.50 per hour, plus $250 Sign-on Bonus

  • Includes 27 hours of new hire paid training between minimum wage and site training at $18 / hour.
  • Final Interview Process is a 4-hour unpaid Pre-Hire Orientation.

Sign-On Bonus Qualifications :

  • To qualify for the $250 sign-on bonus, candidates must meet the following requirements :

    • 1) Possess military or law enforcement experience, 2) Hold an Unarmed D Security License, 3) Hold an Armed G Security License, and 4) Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).

    • Job Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by implementing safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and using problem-solving skills
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the business premises and perimeter. Work environments and conditions may vary depending on the client site

    • Required Qualifications and Licenses

  • Possession of approved Florida Class "D" and "G" licenses from the State of Florida DOACS
  • Completion of an approved State of Florida 40-hour Unarmed Security Officer Course and 28-hour Armed Security Officer Course
  • Possession of the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
  • Ability to provide proof of high school diploma, college degree, or valid state GED certificate
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving history

    • Minimum Qualifications and Education

    (Candidates must meet the following requirements before the recruitment start date)

  • Current or previous U.S. military or law enforcement experience (documentation required for preference entitlement)
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Reliable personal transportation and ability to commute to assigned job sites
  • 24 / 7 access to a smartphone and computer with internet connectivity
  • Intermediate computer skills, including emailing, web browsing, Microsoft Word, and Adobe PDF
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; must be self-motivated, resourceful, and able to prioritize tasks
  • Strong English communication skills, including reading and writing, and ability to interpret complex instructions, procedures, and regulations
  • Ability to work safely in various environments, including commercial and industrial locations
  • Capacity to obtain necessary personal uniform items
  • Good physical condition, including the ability to walk up and down stairs in limited spaces and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Maintain a neat, professional appearance and wear the assigned uniform properly; tattoos must be covered, and grooming standards must be followed as per company policy. Please click here
  • Ability to pass a drug test and background investigation

    • Preferred Additional Skills

  • Knowledge of security and law enforcement guidelines, including investigative techniques
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and ordinances governing Hillsborough County
  • CPR and first aid certifications or ability to obtain them
  • College-level education is strongly desired
