Forklift Yard Worker/Painter - Weekly Pay

Job Title: Forklift Yard Worker/Paint Job Description

Operate a variety of sit-down forklifts in the yard, assist with receiving new steel for welders, prepare it for the welding department, and set up pallets in the intake area. Palletize finished products for outgoing shipments and assist in inventory counts. Lay out all finished products in the paint area by hand, forklift, or hoist. Provide assistance in any area requiring help after completing primary duties.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklifts through the yard.

• Receive and prepare new steel for the welding department.

• Set up pallets in the intake area.

• Palletize finished products for outgoing shipments.

• Assist with inventory counts.

• Lay out finished products in the paint area using hand, forklift, or hoist.

• Provide support in other areas as needed.

Essential Skills

• 1 year of sit-down forklift experience.

• 1 year of production painting experience.

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in both forklift operation and production painting is preferred.

Work Environment

Work primarily takes place outdoors, so candidates should dress according to the elements. When in the paint area, frequent opening and closing of bay doors to the outside occurs. Steel-toed shoes, pants, and preferably a long-sleeve shirt are required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Billings, MT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
