Apple's Vision Products Group is seeking a seasoned Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to drive quality for next-generation spatial computing applications. You'll design and maintain sophisticated automated test frameworks that validate complex spatial experiences on visionOS, working closely with engineering teams to ensure world‑class reliability and user experience.

Description

In this role, you will be responsible for shipping world‑class user experiences and act as the voice of our end‑users. As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you will design and maintain automated test suites that exercise various features of visionOS Camera and Photos features, continuously improving system reliability. We are looking for someone with strong technical depth, clear communication, and the ability to drive quality across a complex product ecosystem. This role requires strong programming fundamentals and automation expertise across all phases of the product release cycle. You will design and maintain automation frameworks through deep collaboration with Software Development & QA engineers, program managers, and domain experts.

Responsibilities

• Defining, implementing, and evolving automated test frameworks
• Monitoring CI performance, analyzing test results, and triaging failures
• Identifying gaps in existing test plans and closing them with scalability and maintainability in mind
• Advocating for quality throughout the software development process

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
