Familiarity with NDE methods and relevant ASTM / ASME material specifications. Understanding of mechanical testing methods for metals. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Ability to read technical documents and write clear reports. Effective communication skills for presentations and customer interactions. Skills in control plan management, process monitoring, lean tools, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions. Helpful additional skills : FMEA, design of experiments, internal auditing, calibration management, job-shop experience, contract / specification review, and inspection / NDT methods. Masters degree in a science or engineering field, or a bachelors degree with 10+ years of relevant experience. Frequent sitting; regular use of hands; occasional walking, reaching, or crouching. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Adequate vision for detailed work. Variable noise levels in typical industrial / office settings. Organization offers competitive compensation and growth opportunities. Quality Manager
Summary
Leads and maintains the organizations Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure consistent product quality. Directs quality initiatives, oversees staff performing quality functions, and drives continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement, train, and maintain the QMS, including manuals and procedures.
- Select, train, and oversee personnel involved in quality-related activities.
- Ensure company quality policies are followed for all manufactured products.
- Identify and resolve quality issues and nonconformances.
- Control and review procurement documents; audit suppliers.
- Serve as lead or participant in internal and external audits.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance productivity and reduce scrap.
- Participate in production and pre-manufacturing meetings.
- Review and approve supplier procedures and documentation.
- Coordinate quality activities with internal quality and inspection teams.
- Represent the company during inspections and manage customer quality concerns.
- Collaborate with customers, internal departments, and external organizations.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
