Business Development Representative

Our client is a growth stage technology and data-driven commercial insurance wholesaler backed by a leading private equity firm. They are combining the worlds of insurance and technology to create an insurtech powerhouse.

We're helping them hire a Business Development Representative for their Northern California territory. You'll be responsible for contacting new and existing brokers to explain features and benefits of the company's programs- no cold calls as these are all current clients. You'll conduct daily video conference calls, facilitate product webinars and website demonstrations, and participate in industry trade shows.

Employment Type : Full-Time Permanent

Location : Anywhere in Georgia - can work remotely but MUST be physically located in the area.

What You'll Do :

  • Contact new and existing brokers to explain features and benefits of our programs.
  • Compile, organize and relay crucial information to close quotes.
  • Maintain producer marketing database.
  • Facilitate product webinars and website demonstrations.
  • Execute weekly telephonic campaigns to maintain a pipeline of qualified agency appointments.
  • Assist with corporate communications, marketing, and advertising.
  • Participate in various industry trade shows.
  • Recommend ideas for and following up on corporate and individual promotions.
  • Develop referrals from brokers, carrier partners, and other vendors.
  • Complete special projects as assigned by management and perform other duties as requested.

Requirements :

  • 2-3 years' previous sales experience in commercial or personal insurance lines.
  • Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma minimum.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and aptitude to navigate software easily.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to forge long-term relationships with brokers, agencies, and carrier partners.
