Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with an active WI PT license and recent hospital and outpatient experience for an inpatient / outpatient role.

Responsibilities

  • Position is based in a hospital and clinic setting with 8-hour day shifts
  • Role involves approximately 50% inpatient, swing bed, and outpatient observation and 50% outpatient, primarily serving an elderly and chronic pain population
  • Caseload includes total joints, low back / neck pain, and chronic pain conditions
  • Some floating to inpatient med-surg unit as needed is required
  • Uses Epic for charting; Epic experience is preferred
  • No on-call or call back requirements
  • Weekend and holiday work may be required, but is uncommon
  • Dress code is casual attire
  • Primary responsibilities include evaluation and treatment across inpatient and outpatient settings, with a focus on the elderly and chronic pain populations
  • Limited orientation may be provided depending on the week
  • Candidates must begin the medical compliance process within 48 hours of offer acceptance, or within 24 hours for a quick start
  • References from two supervisors and copies of certifications are required for consideration

    • Requirements

  • Active Wisconsin PT license required if applicable
  • Current AHA BLS certification required
  • Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program
  • At least 2 years of recent PT experience preferred, flexibility for the right candidate
  • Demonstrated experience in both hospital and outpatient settings preferred
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
