We Are :

At Synopsys, we drive the innovations that shape the way we live and connect. Our technology is central to the Era of Pervasive Intelligence, from self-driving cars to learning machines. We lead in chip design, verification, and IP integration, empowering the creation of high-performance silicon chips and software content. Join us to transform the future through continuous technological innovation.

You Are :

You are an experienced and detail-oriented leader with a passion for optimizing engineering services and document management in a dynamic, high-tech environment. Your background is rooted in technical disciplines, and you bring a robust understanding of product lifecycle management (PLM) and product data management (PDM) systems, ideally honed in organizations with outsourced manufacturing models. You thrive on building cross-functional relationships, fostering collaboration between internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless document control and change management processes.

Your expertise enables you to navigate the complexities of global supply chains, maintaining the integrity, accessibility, and accuracy of critical product documentation. You approach problems analytically, leveraging your organizational skills and keen attention to detail to drive process improvements and support business transformations. As a proactive communicator, you excel at training and supporting diverse user groups, always striving for clarity and consistency in documentation practices.

You are comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and demonstrate sound judgment in decision-making. Your proficiency with industry-leading PLM / PDM tools, as well as Microsoft Office applications, positions you to lead the Engineering Services function at Synopsys. You are motivated by the opportunity to drive high-quality outcomes, support transformational projects, and contribute to the continued success and innovation of a global technology leader.

What You'll Be Doing :

  • Define and lead the Engineering Services department, developing robust processes and maintaining the PLM / PDM system as a reliable single source of truth for product manufacturing data.
  • Serve as the primary administrator for PLM / PDM systems, supporting and training global Synopsys employees and supply chain partners.
  • Oversee product documentation, including part number creation, nomenclature standardization, BOM structure, lifecycle status, document workflows, ECO processes, and approval flows.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment and collaboration with both internal teams and external partners, ensuring efficient and effective document control methodologies.
  • Manage, standardize, and track the distribution of Synopsys product documentation and change orders, ensuring accuracy and timely notifications.
  • Organize and lead Change Control Board (CCB) reviews for change orders, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
  • Develop, implement, and continually improve document control processes and policies to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing / Documentation Practices.
  • Generate reports and dashboards reflecting key process metrics, driving continuous improvement actions as needed.
  • Train team members and supply chain partners on Engineering Services systems and procedures, ensuring best practices are consistently applied.
  • Lead business transformational projects related to PLM system integration and business process flows, and support additional Product Quality Engineering efforts as assigned.

The Impact You Will Have :

  • Ensure Synopsys and its supply chain partners have immediate, accurate access to critical product documentation, supporting smooth manufacturing and delivery processes.
  • Drive process standardization and efficiency, reducing errors and improving throughput across all engineering documentation workflows.
  • Foster a culture of cross-functional collaboration, enhancing communication between engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
  • Contribute to the successful implementation of business transformation projects, enabling Synopsys to scale and innovate more rapidly.
  • Maintain high standards of document control, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Support quality and continuous improvement initiatives, directly impacting Synopsys's reputation for excellence and reliability.
  • Empower teams through effective training and support, elevating overall organizational competence in PLM / PDM tools and processes.
  • Enhance visibility into engineering service performance through robust reporting and analytics.
  • What You'll Need :

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field; engineering preferred.
  • Over 5 years of senior-level document control or engineering services experience in a high-tech environment.
  • Proficiency with PLM / PDM systems such as Agile, Arena, or Empower (Empower experience highly preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with SAP ERP and PLM software.
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, document control systems, BOM structures, change order processes, and engineering / manufacturing documentation types.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, including formulas, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, and Pivot Tables.
  • Experience in organizations with outsourced manufacturing and quality engineering experience is a plus.
  • Who You Are :

  • Organized and detail-focused, with a commitment to accuracy and excellence.
  • A collaborative communicator, able to work effectively with diverse teams across functions and geographies.
  • Analytical and process-oriented, capable of identifying and implementing improvements.
  • Adaptable and resilient, thriving in dynamic, high-energy environments.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, demonstrating sound judgment and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Dedicated to fostering a culture of continuous learning and best-practice adoption.
  • The Team You'll Be A Part Of :
