Ensure prompt, effective resolution of customer needs to support a positive experience. Delivers timely service and support, consistently meeting commitments and ensuring customer satisfaction. Collaborates effectively within the department and with other units to provide high-quality service. Demonstrates a positive attitude and flexibility to adapt to laboratory testing and scheduling needs. Completes all required competencies, continuing education and learning modules. Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his / her responsibilities related to High School Diploma or equivalent. Description
- Accessions specimens into the LIS, accurately recording pertinent data to be used by the physician in the interpretation of tests results.
- Properly identifies the patients / specimen according to established policies / procedures and labels all specimens appropriately.
- Participates in the laboratory QA Program.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served by the laboratory.
- Follows guidelines of all applicable regulatory agencies.
- Understands pertinent LIS functions and performs downtime procedures effectively.
- Follows all required laboratory safety regulations including personal protective equipment, infection
control policies and chemical hygiene plan according to OSHA and regulatory requirements.
