About This Position This role reports to the Sr. Director of Transportation and is responsible for over-the-road (OTR) transportation operations, routine processes, KPIs, continuous improvement, and ad-hoc reporting and analysis. The ideal individual will have potential to grow into a leadership position at a stable company in Keefe. This role will provide a broad introduction to many functions and people throughout the organization. Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities Handle daily escalations related to OTR transportation service and cost, including managing relationship with 3PL and parcel vendors. Lead implementation of annual truckload (TL) and less-than-truckload (LTL) RFQ. Lead bi-weekly Transportation & Operations (T&OP) meeting with Supply Chain and Procurement leadership. Lead periodic analysis to identify and address highest spend lanes by Cost per Hundredweight (CwT). Routine communication with Operations and Sales leadership to implement cost savings opportunities while improving service. Prepare weekly KPI and monthly savings initiative reporting. Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed. Prepare SOPs for new processes implemented by the role. Maintain critical transportation and distribution master data. Other duties as assigned. What You'll Need Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Purchasing Management, or related field. 3+ years of equivalent work experience. Knowledge of CPG Supply Chain standards and fundamentals. Experience with multi-modal transportation including truckload, less-than-truckload, intermodal, parcel, and dedicated fleet. Ability to organize and prioritize workload effectively and work collaboratively with vendors, customers, and internal teams. Excellent communication skills—must be able to adapt style/presentation to effectively communicate to both line employees and senior leaders. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail; ability to interpret data and identify trends. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; proficiency in Word and PowerPoint. Experience using Power BI for data visualization and reporting. Working knowledge of ERP systems and strong computer literacy. Proven negotiation and time management skills; ability to support cost-saving initiatives. Strong planning, research, and presentation skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities. Effective communication skills—able to present ideas clearly, listen actively, and collaborate across teams. Ability to think strategically while assisting in solving day-to-day challenges. Demonstrated ability to follow systematic methods and maintain accuracy in work. Adaptable to change and comfortable working in a team-oriented environment. Strong problem-solving skills - define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to work well with diverse personalities and build positive working relationships. Proactive in addressing work-related issues and finding practical solutions. Ability to complete tasks under pressure while maintaining efficiency and attention to detail.
