Role Description

This full-time, on-site role for a Resident Engineer is located in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Resident Engineer will oversee daily construction activities, manage and monitor contractor performance, ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards, and effectively address project challenges. The role also includes coordinating with stakeholders and maintaining detailed documentation of processes, inspections, and outcomes to meet project objectives and timelines.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in program and construction management processes, with experience in public works projects.
• Proficiency in structural analysis, design principles, and drafting software such as Micro-Station and AutoCAD.
• Skilled in managing roadway, bridge, tunnel, railroad, and water / wastewater projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, coordinate with contractors and stakeholders, and resolve project-related issues.
• Excellent knowledge of safety regulations, quality assurance protocols, and project documentation practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, with licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
• Effective communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work in dynamic environments.
