Scope of Position
Our client seeks a highly skilled Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead all EHS programs at our facility. In this role, you will ensure full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state / local regulations while driving a proactive safety culture that engages employees at every level. You’ll oversee EHS strategy, training, compliance, and team leadership, making a meaningful impact on our people, processes, and performance.
Responsibilities
Lead Environmental, Health & Safety Programs
- Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific Health & Safety programs.
- Partner with Quality, Sanitation, Maintenance, and other teams to integrate EHS into daily operations.
Ensure Regulatory Compliance
Advise leadership on compliance requirements and hazard prevention.Maintain OSHA documentation and ensure adherence to all regulatory standards.Conduct Hazard Assessments
Perform operational hazard evaluations, including engineering controls and PPE needs.Identify non-compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.Deliver Training
Provide OSHA-required training, First Aid / Responder training, and hazard-specific instruction.Promote continuous learning and employee engagement in safety practices.Lead Health & Injury Management
Oversee Workers' Compensation claims and injury response.Investigate incidents, evaluate trends, and recommend preventive measures.Champion Safety Culture
Lead safety committees and employee engagement initiatives.Promote a safety-first mindset throughout the facility.Manage People & Strategy
Lead the site EHS staff and participate in plant leadership.Execute sitewide safety and health business plans.Other Job Responsibilities
Availability to support high-risk or urgent EHS matters.Ability to lead change and drive adoption of EHS initiatives.Strong project management, prioritization, and communication skills.Effective cross-functional collaboration and risk mitigation.Accurate, timely incident investigations and continuous improvement in key EHS metrics.Qualifications
Required
High School Diploma5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environmentPreferred
Bachelor’s degree in Safety & Environmental Management, Industrial Hygiene, or related technical fieldExperience in food manufacturing or CPGProfessional safety certifications (ASP, CSP)Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and EHS compliance standardsExperience in risk assessments, incident investigations, and emergency responseExcellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detail#LI-DNI
