Maintenance A2

Overall cleaning and maintenance of patient rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing and replenishment of soap, paper products, etc.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms, and restores dispensers with soap and paper products.
• Removes trash, relines trash containers, and cleans receptacles if required.
• Dusts mops and damp mops floors in patients rooms. Vacuums, damp mops and shampoos carpeted floors including corridors.
• Stocks patient room with other items such as hospital literature, towels, admission kits and other related items. Stocks floor deliveries in the proper storage areas.
• Empties needle boxes; Replaces soiled draperies; Cleans patient refrigerators; Cleans rooms upon patient discharge; Dusts high surfaces (above shoulder height).
• Covers for Maintenance C employees when necessary in the cleaning of offices, the day room and ancillary areas.

Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma / GED
