Community Manager Responsibilities

Personnel Management – Use consistent techniques and company directives to screen, hire, train, coach, and develop on-site staff. Ensure staff compliance and consistency with company policies and procedures.

Financial Management – Achieve the highest possible net operating income through effective cost control and revenue & leasing improvement. Develop yearly operating budgets / forecasts. Monitor timely receipt and reconciliation of deposits, rent collections, and charges.

Strategic Leasing Management – Develop yearly marketing plan and utilize marketing strategies & systems. Deal with resident complaints, concerns, and requests to ensure resident satisfaction.

Administrative & Maintenance Management – Ensure all administrative & leasing reporting is accurate and complete. Head emergency team for the property; manage customer service and monitor service request turnaround.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or four year’s experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and / or training.

Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.

Basic computer skills required; knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Physical Requirements

Regular communication, repeat motions of hands or fingers, and ability to work overtime, weekends, and night hours (emergencies).

Stationary position, standing or sitting for prolonged periods, move between work sites or work in tight and confined spaces.

Occasional ascent / descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, etc. and operate machinery or power tools, operate motor vehicles or golf carts.

License and Equipment

Reliable transportation due to emergency on-call requirement.

Salary Range

25 per hour to $28 per hour
