Job Summary :

HCA Midwest Health is seeking a cardiothoracic surgeon to join the current complement of four highly skilled surgeons.

Qualified Candidates :

  • Cardiothoracic surgery fellowship and ABTS certification required
  • Broad skillset in thoracic surgery, a subspecialty interest is preferred

Program Highlights :

  • Our cardiovascular team is part of the Midwest Heart and Vascular Institute at HCA Midwest Health
  • Physician-led board / governance structure that directs the strategic direction of the service line
  • Surgeons perform cardiac surgery in two metro facilities with a robust and growing structural heart program anchored at Research Medical Center
  • ACGME accredited cardiology fellowship program
  • Performed the first minimally-invasive bypass surgery in Kansas City and the first bi Impella-protected PCI procedure
  • A full array of industry-leading, innovative clinical trials and authoring numerous peer-review publications
  • Many of our physicians are internationally recognized cardiac thought leaders that believe heart care should be compassionate, responsive, and best in class
