Warehouse Lead

Overview

Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, experienced Warehouse Lead who is comfortable working in all facets of warehouse operations. This role requires strong leadership, solid handson experience with dockwork, and the ability to manage a team while ensuring accuracy, productivity, and safety in a fastpaced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, picking, packing, and staging of materials.
• Lead, train, and mentor a team of warehouse associates to meet productivity and quality standards.
• Coordinate dock work - load and unload flatbeds, vans, and other transportation.
• Maintain accurate inventory by conducting regular cycle counts and documenting them.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and facility procedures.
• Communicate production needs and updates with management and other departments.
• Support continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency and reduce errors.

Skills and Experience

• 2+ years of warehouse experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
• Solid understanding of basic shipping and receiving processes.
• Ability to operate materialhandling equipment (e.g., forklift) safely and effectively.
• Strong organizational, problemsolving, and communication skills.
• Comfortable with physical work, including lifting and moving materials.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) a plus.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience managing a team in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Experience coordinating dock work and warehouse logistics.
