Location : The MetroHealth System

Bi-weekly Hours : 72.00

Shift : 7p-7a, rotating weekends and holidays

  • Up to $10,000 sign on bonus for experienced RRTs

Patient Care Locations :

  • MetroHealth Main Campus Medical Center - Glick Center
  • MetroHealth Physical Rehab Institute
  • Parma Medical Center
  • Cleveland Heights Medical Center

    • Patient Populations :

  • Emergency Departments
  • Acute Care Inpatient Specialty Units
  • Adult Intensive Care Units
  • Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
  • Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
  • Labor and Delivery
  • Postpartum Care

    • Primary skills utilized / learned :

  • Invasive and Non-invasive ventilation management
  • Evidence-based patient driven protocol pathways
  • Critical thinking and time management
  • Multi-disciplinary patient care management

    • Personnel RRT will work with :

  • RNs, LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, Social Workers, PT / OT, Speech Therapy, Dieticians

    Required Qualifications :

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy
  • Possess and maintain an active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Active Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) license from the Ohio Medical Board
  • Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification
  • Reliable transportation to travel to other MetroHealth facilities as needed.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • 3 years of experience as a RRT in a critical care environment.
  • Extensive experience with mechanical ventilation, airway management, and hemodynamic monitoring
  • Possess a Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the AHA
  • Possess an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and / or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) form the AHA
