Telemarketer

Talley Broadcasting, WSMI and WAOX, is seeking a WSMI & WAOX Notifier working from out Litchfield-Hillsboro, Il studio. This position is part time, Monday-Friday, typically two to three hours per day or as needed. Pay is hourly in the range of $15.00 to $18.00 per hour based on skill and/or experience.

Our Advertisng Sales staff members work with local business people to help them grow and prosper by developing campaigns and ads that are aired on our stations. This position focuses on telephone sales of local community event sponsorships. Talley Broadcasting is a second-generation family operation serving Macoupin and Montgomery counties since 1950.

As an Special Event Advertising Salesperson at Talley Broadcasting you will:

Call prospects and present various community and station special events working from out Litchfield-Hillsboro studios.

Inform prospects about company initiatives that will support events and draw customers to their businesses.

Achieve sales activity goals.

Develop and maintain relationships with clients and provide quality customer service.

Communicate with other departments to assure execution of client agreements.

Create client invoices and follow-up regarding payments.

Attend training sessions.

Qualifications:

Minimum of high school diploma; one- year related experience and/or training.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts for customer purchase transactions.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills.

Computer literate; familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel)

Ability to utilize the telephone to create positive interactions with clients and prospective clients.

Valid driver's license and state mandated automobile insurance.

Live within a 25-mile radius of the stations.
