Job Description:
The Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse plays a vital role by providing skilled nursing care under the direction of providers in various clinical settings. You will engage in nursing processes to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient responses to health challenges, adhering to the highest standards of care.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering office-based nursing care in partnership with healthcare providers.
Assessing the physical and psychosocial needs of patients, creating nursing care plans, and ensuring seamless patient care continuity through ongoing evaluation and intervention.
Exhibiting independent nursing actions based on thorough assessments and identified issues.
Triaging telephone inquiries and responding with prompt and professional interventions.
Providing compassionate support to patients and their families while maintaining confidentiality.
This position may require travel to other regional offices as needed.
Qualifications:
Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Connecticut and current CPR certification.
A minimum of three years' experience in a medical practice is preferred.
Familiarity with medical software systems.
