Job Description

Join our team as a Millwright Mechanic where you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing industrial equipment. This position offers a dynamic and fast-paced work environment with opportunities for skill development and career growth.

Responsibilities

• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions using various processes such as gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, and shield metal arc welding.
• Monitor fitting, burning, and welding processes to prevent overheating, warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of materials.
• Provide backup or assistance throughout the yard as needed or assigned.
• Report equipment deficiencies or malfunctions to the proper supervisor for maintenance or repair.
• Maintain all shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment and replace as needed.

Essential Skills

• Experience in electrical, hydraulics, mechanical, and welding systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and troubleshoot industrial machinery.
• Experience in conveyor maintenance, ideally from a cement or asphalt plant.
• Experience with installation, maintenance repair, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance.
• Flux core welding experience.
• Hand/power tool experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Electrical experience is a plus.
• Ability to operate a forklift or Lull is a major advantage.
• Heavy industrial maintenance experience is preferred.

Work Environment

Work in a waste/recycling plant primarily on the 2nd shift, with training provided on the 1st shift. The training period may last approximately 3-6 months. The position requires working in a fast-paced environment on the 3rd shift from 9pm to 6am.

This is a Permanent position based out of Charlestown, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
