Location : Primarily Pioneer Career Center (PCC), however, assignments may include any KCKCC location or clinical sites as designated by the appropriate administrator.

SUMMARY

Adjunct faculty in the Allied Health department are responsible for teaching courses such as Nursing Assistant, Medication Aide, and Medical Terminology. Note : this position requires didactic and clinical teaching.

This is a POOL position. Application materials for this adjunct position are accepted on an on-going basis due to increasing demand for courses in this subject area.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

• Conduct all clinical sessions according to the state-approved schedule.
• Provide instruction, activities, assignments, and assessments to adequately cover all learning outcomes.
• Monitor student progress by providing feedback for in- and out-of-class work.
• Perform adequate course-level assessment according to college requirements.
• Complete and submit all KDADS-required paperwork to the CNA Coordinator by the assigned deadline.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

At least 1,750 hours of that experience must be as a licensed nurse in a setting which demonstrates long-term nursing care, such as an adult care home, long term care unit of a hospital or a state institution for the intellectually or developmentally delayed OR

Experience supervising nurse aides OR

WORK SCHEDULE
