AWS developer position

Salary : $83,200 - 83,200 per year

Requirements :

• Proven experience as an AWS Developer, with demonstrable case studies of successful cloud solutions.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies, software-defined networking, and software-defined storage.
• Strong skills in declarative automation and configuration management tools.
• Understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS public cloud models.
• Bachelors degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math).
• Knowledge of or experience with Python, Java (optional).
• Background in or familiarity with Linux.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and grow professionally.
• Positive attitude, resilience, and enthusiasm for challenges.
• Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Must be fully bilingual (English / Spanish - written and oral).

Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and manage scalable and secure AWS cloud infrastructure for diverse applications and services.

Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement AWS solutions meeting specific project needs.

Regularly monitor and optimize AWS resource performance for cost-effectiveness and dependability.

Keep abreast of the latest AWS services, features, and best practices to integrate into development and architecture.

Implement and uphold AWS security protocols, including IAM policies and access management to safeguard sensitive information and infrastructure.

Engage in code reviews and provide suggestions on AWS infrastructure as code (IAC) and configurations to improve system security and stability.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AWS to maintain smooth operation of AWS-hosted applications and services.

Architect and deliver complex hybrid and cloud-based services.

Assess business and technical requirements to inform design and development of AWS solutions.

Assist the BCG client team throughout the sales process.

We are seeking an AWS Developer to spearhead the design and development of innovative cloud solutions for our clients. Although our work is primarily remote, occasional visits to client sites will be necessary for business discussions and process walkthroughs. This position is contract-based, offering flexible hours with a pay rate starting at $40.00 per hour, and we expect no less than 30 hours of work per week. Our schedule includes Monday to Friday engagements, with on-call requirements and weekend work as needed. We are located in San Juan, PR, and offer a collaborative team environment where learning and growth are encouraged.
