Job Description

PLC Programmer – Automotive Controls & Commissioning

We are seeking an experienced PLC Programmer with a strong background in the automotive manufacturing sector, specifically with General Motors (GM) or Ford GVOSS standards. This position is ideal for professionals who excel in PLC programming , robotic integration , and industrial automation within high-volume production environments.

Responsibilities :

Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs for automated manufacturing systems
Implement controls systems in accordance with GM Global Common Controls or Ford GVOSS standards
Perform on-site commissioning , debugging , and startup support for new installations
Collaborate with controls engineers , robot programmers , and electrical designers to ensure seamless system integration
Document all control logic and maintain system compliance with plant floor automation standards
Support HMI development and integration with PLC systems
Assist in I / O checkout , field device testing , and system validation

Qualifications :

Proven experience in PLC programming with Rockwell Automation (RSLogix 5000 / Studio 5000) or Siemens TIA Portal

Hands-on experience working with GM G-CCS or Ford GVOSS in a production environment

Strong understanding of industrial networks such as Ethernet / IP , PROFINET , and DeviceNet

Familiarity with robotics integration (Fanuc, ABB, or KUKA preferred)

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and P&IDs

Willingness to travel for commissioning , start-up , and plant support

Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
