Metro is looking for a motivated and passionate Per Diem Occupational Therapist to join our expanding Homecare team! Come be a part of a growing organization in a progressive, supportive, and innovative environment! New graduates are encouraged to apply!

Job Type : Per Diem

Location : Deer Park & surrounding towns

Pay : $65-$85 per visit (can choose either W2 or 1099)

What You'll Be Doing :

  • Provide 1 : 1 treatment
  • Plan, prepare and carry out individually designed programs of occupational treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and prevent occupational dysfunction in patients.
  • Custom Splint Fabrication for Patients
  • Perform and document an initial exam, evaluating the data to identify problems and determine a diagnosis prior to intervention.
  • Develop and guide plans of care which encourage compliance and produce the best results for your patients.
  • Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
  • Must be willing to treat all ages and have sensory integration experience

    • Requirements :

  • Occupational Therapist Program Graduate.
  • NY Occupational Therapy License or eligible.
  • Evaluates patient's need for occupational therapy and develops appropriate treatment plan.
  • Provide appropriate care and treatment to patients based on physician care plan, agency policy and professional standards of care.
  • Instructs family members, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in appropriate occupational therapy techniques.
  • Ability to travel to and from the homes of your patients throughout your given territory.
  • Strong communication skills between patients, support staff, and management, including timely responses via text, email, phone, etc.
