Procurement and Contracts Manager

The Infrastructure Services Procurement and Contracts Manager role is responsible for oversight of the department's outsourced facilities management service contracts and performance of the service providers. As the successful applicant you will ensure best practice and that contracted KPIs, government regulations and environmental, health and security standards are met. Other duties of the role include but are not limited to:

• Developing service specification documents
• Providing advice, key information and guidance relating to Public Construction procurement for the branch
• Ensuring transitional provisions apply to the use of other types of contracts

The role requires a motivated self-starter, with strong contract management and stakeholder engagement skills, alongside a flexible and collaborative approach to working.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

• Degree in business, architecture or construction management would be desirable.
• A strong background and experience in procurement activities, undertaken within the framework of the Ministerial Directions and in accordance with legislative requirements under the Project Development and Construction Management Act 1994.
• Demonstrated knowledge of relevant government legislation and experience in procurement and contract activities.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills with capability and experience in developing government briefing documents for Secretarial and Ministerial review and approval.

This is a fixed term position available until 25 December 2025. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
