How Will You Make An Impact In This Role?

You will be responsible for administration of employee benefit programs, leave of absence and ADA Accommodation processes across a multi-state workforce. This role ensures benefit offerings, leaves and accommodation practices are compliant with federal, state, and local regulations, while delivering a high quality, mission aligned employee experience. You will serve as a key liaison between employees, internal stakeholders, and external vendors, supporting the organizations commitment to employee well being, equity, and operational excellence. You will exercise independent judgment and discretion in interpreting and applying benefits and leave policies and regulations, including making determinations in complex situations that materially impact employees and organizational compliance.

Who You Are:

You rely on extensive knowledge of all the employee benefits laws, regulations, and processes. You possess sound judgment to be able to approve, deny, or modify leave and benefits determinations. You have a strong commitment to compliance and confidentiality. You have superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. You have an impeccable attention to detail. You are able to resolve escalated employee cases where policy guidance is unclear or conflicting.

Minimum Qualifications And Competencies

Education/Background: Bachelors degree from an accredited university in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience administering employee benefits and leaves of absence. Alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered to meet the qualifications of this role. This position requires driving on behalf of the company. Candidates must hold a valid drivers license, meet the companys motor vehicle record (MVR) standards, meet companys insurance eligibility, and comply with all state and federal driving requirements. Ongoing employment is contingent upon maintaining an acceptable driving record. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred to effectively communicate with Spanish speaking stakeholders Employment in this position is contingent upon successful completion of all required pre-employment screenings and subject to credentialing checks to maintain compliance with licensing and contractual requirements. Fingerprint based background check in accordance with federal, state, and contract requirements. Child Abuse and Neglect Registry Check (CPS check) as required for roles working with vulnerable populations. Criminal history background check meeting applicable state, federal, licensing, or program standards. Drug screening in compliance with company policy and applicable state law.

License and Certification: CEBP or CBP certification, preferred.

Other Requirements: Demonstrated experience working with multi-state or distributed workforces. Strong working knowledge of FMLA and state leave laws (CA, CO etc.), ACA, ADA, COBRA administration, ERISA, and HIPAA requirements. Proficiency with HRIS and benefits administration systems. Prefer experience with ADP Workforce Now. High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information. Experience and commitment to working with multiethnic, multicultural, low-income populations. Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, especially Microsoft Teams).
