Comcast is expanding the Data Experience (dX) Team.  The role of the Analyst, Data Governance is to partner with teams across the organization to document business and technical metadata inclusive of business definitions, data administration and data lineage.  The role will function within the Data Governance organization and will be implementing in the systems development lifecycle within dX.  This is an analytical and technical role.  The pace is challenging but realistic.

Core Responsibilities :

• Partners with data governance, data stewards, and subject matter experts to create and maintain business definitions / business glossary and business and technical data lineage
• Evaluates existing solution data dictionaries for duplication, gaps and / or quality issues to ensure the most accurate business descriptions are available for consumption by the analytics team
• Analysis of existing lineage and documentation / process modeling of new end-to-end data lineage for data solutions leveraging Informatica Metadata Manager or MS Office tools
• Data classification / tagging of business metadata in accordance with the Metadata Management policy, standards, and procedures in order to optimize usage and validation of trusted sources for the enterprise
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
