Grill Cook

Cafe Santorini is a fast-paced, high-quality kitchen committed to delivering exceptional food and service. We’re looking for an experienced and reliable Grill Cook to join our team and keep the heat on during service.

Job Summary :

The Grill Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and plating grilled menu items to perfection, ensuring consistency, flavor, and presentation meet restaurant standards. This role requires a strong sense of timing, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Responsibilities :

Operate and maintain the grill station during prep and service.

Cook proteins, vegetables, and other items to specified temperatures and doneness.

Follow all recipes, portion guidelines, and plating standards.

Manage grill station prep, including marinating, seasoning, and pre-cooking items.

Monitor food quality and freshness, rotating stock using FIFO principles.

Maintain a clean, organized work area in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Assist other kitchen stations as needed and communicate with the line team during service.

Perform end-of-shift breakdown and cleaning of grill and related equipment.

Requirements :

Proven experience as a Grill Cook or Line Cook in a fast-paced kitchen.

• Prepping items for the station as needed.

Strong knowledge of cooking times, temperatures, and grill techniques for various proteins.

Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments.

Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.

Physical stamina to stand for long periods and work over hot surfaces.

Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Skills :

Experience with wood-fired or specialty grills.

Familiarity with scratch cooking and high-volume service.
