Fixed Income Valuation Analyst

Joining a foundational function that centralizes data management expertise from across the firm, youll have the opportunity to work side by side with other data professionals. In particular, as Fixed Income Valuations Analyst you will analyze valuations from approved sources, produce fair valuation determinations, execute control procedures, research price exceptions and present risk monitoring reports to the Pricing Committee. Youll contribute ideas and explore new tools and technology while gaining excellent insights into our business that forms a strong foundation for future success. What you will do

• Execute all daily, weekly, monthly and/or quarterly tasks and reporting timely and accurately to ensure accuracy of security prices and underlying reference data
• Generate reports for monitoring quality of valuations for use by management, Pricing Committee, and Operations (Sub) Committee and recommend enhancements as appropriate
• Ensure that all daily pricing vendor files are received, imported and published to downstream systems in a timely manner and resolve any delays expeditiously with IT
• Review required procedures, polices and guidelines documentation related to process, errors or issues and maintain to current tasks and reporting requirements
• Interact with Investment Management addressing valuation inquiries, vendor price challenges, broker pricing and internal models
• Work with Investment Management and an external private valuations service to review the documentation and fair valuation methodology rationale
• Assist with analysis and investigation of price movements against market expectations with an understanding of the valuation models and methodologies utilized by the commercial pricing vendors
• Perform regular comparison analysis of the pricing vendors valuations versus market data to identify areas of improvement, coverage and data quality
• Interact with consumers of data throughout the firm including Compliance, Operations, Client Service, Investment Management and Risk; research and respond to questions about specific data, data sources, and/or procedures
• Participate in annual vendor due diligence reviews; and participate in the research, evaluation and document new potential vendor sources for valuations
• Support the regulatory requirements, internal and client financial audits by providing data and/or information on process

• Bachelors degree in relevant field; Finance, Mathematics, Science or Engineering
• CFA or Progression with CFA Preferred
• 3-5 years of asset management industry experience preferred
• Functional knowledge and/or experience with a wide range of security types: Government/Sovereign Bonds; Corporate Bonds (Investment Grade, High Yield); Municipal Bonds; Derivatives (Futures, Options, Swaps); Mortgages (Agency, Non-Agency); Emerging Market Bonds; Inflation-Linked Bonds & Private Credit
• Functional knowledge of evaluated services offerings from the major commercial pricing vendors
• Expertise with relevant Bloomberg terminal usage for research of market data
• Strong analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and statistical skills
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, SQL and Business Intelligence data tools
• Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Detail-oriented, organized, proactive, with the ability to perform independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure, team environment
• Analyst will be required to have flexible work hours to cover the deliverables as demanded by the department and provide coverage on Holidays to the Firms global offices

Expected base salary for the role will generally be $85,000 - $105,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include other forms of compensation such as, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
