Litigation Attorney

Description We are looking for a dedicated Litigation Attorney to join our team on a contract basis in Pasadena, California. This role involves managing a variety of litigation cases, providing expert legal counsel, and successfully navigating complex legal disputes. Candidates with experience in civil and employment law will be particularly well-suited for this position, as they will play a key role in delivering high-quality legal services.

Responsibilities :

• Represent clients in various civil litigation matters, including trials, motions, depositions, and discovery processes.
• Offer strategic legal advice and guidance to clients, ensuring clarity on case outcomes and options.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case strategies and develop compelling arguments.
• Draft, review, and finalize legal documents such as contracts, agreements, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Collaborate effectively with other attorneys and legal staff on complex cases to ensure thorough and timely service delivery.
• Communicate and negotiate with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials to advance case objectives.
• Facilitate settlement discussions and alternative dispute resolution proceedings when appropriate.
• Remain informed on litigation trends and developments in employment law to maintain a competitive edge.
• Manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines. Requirements - Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in a state bar association, in good standing.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience handling litigation cases, particularly in civil or employment law.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, including matters such as discrimination claims, wage disputes, and wrongful termination.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to provide practical, solutions-oriented legal advice and resolve disputes efficiently.
• Experience working independently and collaboratively in a law firm or legal department setting.
• Proficiency in drafting motions, briefs, and discovery documents with attention to accuracy and effectiveness.
