[job_card.job_description]12 or 24 hours shifts 7a - 7p or 7a - 7a Weekend Shifts 2p-11p 10p-7a Inpatient Patients per shift : 9 max scheduled cases / day (not including unscheduled patients who are admitted) Beds in department : 12 LDR + 3 Low intervention rooms (midwifery) Rounding patients : assigned and unassigned Stroke certified facility Trauma level 1 PEDs level 2 Average number of deliveries per year : 2500 Not fully a true laborist job, as some gyn coverage is provided on occasion The Generalist OB group will be taking call for their private patients Cover inpatient OB as well as inpatient GYN consults on the floor and in the ER Board Certified with ABOG ACLS, ATLS, BLS Days average 7-9 floor nurses (plus 1 charge, 2 triage RN's) Nights average 5-6 floor nurses (plus 1 charge, 2 triage RN's) These drop by about 1-2 nurses on the weekend due to lower case-load OB Assistants (3 on days, 2 on nights) and Surgical Technicians (3 on days, 2 on nights) 4 midwives that care for patients - collaborate with physicians with increased in level of care situations Epic
