Financial Systems Senior Manager
The Financial Systems Senior Manager is responsible for overseeing, maintaining, and optimizing the organization's financial systems to ensure accurate financial reporting, efficient business processes, and strong internal controls. This role serves as a key bridge between Accounting, IT, and external vendors, driving system enhancements, automation, and process improvements across core financial platforms.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee financial system upgrades, patches, and releases, coordinate testing and deployment. Lead or support finance system implementations, enhancements, and integrations.
- Own and manage the overall strategy and execution of financial systems (e.g., ERP, Close & Consolidation, Reconciliations, Reporting, and Integrations) ensuring system scalability, security and efficiency to support the company's growth.
- Ensure systems support accurate and timely financial reporting and comply with SOX and other regulatory requirements, where applicable. Resolve system issues and ensure minimal downtime and operational impact.
- Support reporting platforms including nVision, Power BI, Alteryx.
- Manager system interfaces to the general ledger.
- Serve as primary liaison between Accounting, IT, and business teams.
- Monitor system access and change management controls. Assist with management of user access, user access review and security roles.
- Support training and change management for system users.
- Lead a team of experienced individuals, provide mentorship, guidance, and foster hands-on, execution-oriented culture. Assess needs of the team and help grow the team as needed.
- Lead by example in a hands-on environment, willing to dive into details and execute directly as needed.
- Assist / maintain chart of accounts, hierarchies, accounting rules, and system configurations.
- Support ad hoc reporting and audit requests. Partner with Internal Audit and External Audit on system-related controls and evidence.
- May perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.10+ years of experience in financial systems, accounting systems, or finance transformation.10+ years of staff management experience. Exhibit the ability to lead, mentor and develop versatile teamsHands-on experience with at least one major ERPStrong understanding of accounting processes, financial reporting, and internal controls. Experience supporting monthend close, consolidation, and reporting processes.Must possess strong quantitative and analytical skills combined with solid business and financial knowledgeExcellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to succinctly convey relevant information across multiple levels of the organization and confidently project a professional image that develops relationship building and collaboration.Ability to work independently on self -directed and assigned tasks under moderate direction and supervisionPreferred
CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification.Banking experienceExperience with PeopleSoft, general ledger reconciliation system, and accounts payable system.Prior involvement in ERP implementations or system transformations. Demonstrated technical proficiency in leading projects of medium to large scale and implemented change initiatives as a technical expert within a specified product or process areaApplicants must have legal authorization to work in the United States. Compensation :
The base pay range for this position is USD $140,000.00 / Yr. - USD $190,000.00 / Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
