Position Summary : The position is responsible for managing and growing the overall gross profit dollar contribution for an assigned group of products and / or markets.
Essential Functions :
- Call on existing customers and new prospects to develop and close a pipeline of new business for assigned products and / or markets. Pipeline to include new business development involving long sales cycles, technically complex products, and / or value-added parts. Sales activities to include designing and delivering technical presentations for groups of customers. Pipeline to include key accounts that generate significant gross profit dollars in assigned products and / or markets.
- Design and implement marketing programs for assigned products and / or markets. These activities to include conducting market research, developing marketing plans with key suppliers, writing technical content for marketing communications pieces, calling on market-specific customers and prospects, participating in training activities, and attending trade shows and other industry events.
- Provide training and coaching to Curbell Plastics sales associates for assigned products and / or markets. Activities to include designing and delivering technical training and sales training for groups of Curbell Plastics associates that will allow them to develop and close pipelines of new business for assigned products and / or markets
- Provide technical support to customers and Curbell Plastics management and sales representatives for assigned products and / or markets. Activities to include helping with sourcing non-standard materials and / or value-added parts. Responsible for providing customers with significant assistance with part design and material selection
- Stay current with industry trends, product knowledge, applications, competitive intelligence, and other trade information for assigned products and / or markets. Activities include maintaining good working relationships with Curbell Plastics’ suppliers for assigned products and / or markets. Also responsible for qualifying new potential products and / or markets as either attractive or unattractive for Curbell.
