Obtains information on patient condition as requested by the nursing staff, and reports any changes in patient condition. Job Requirements Education Required : High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred : Bachelor's Degree in psychology or related field Experience Preferred : Previous experience with mental health or age specific population Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Exhibits valuable time management skills Strong analytical / problem solving skills. Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment. Licensure / Certification / Registration BLS must be obtained within 90 days and maintained throughout employment Must obtain department specific certifications within the designated time frameEducation : Required : High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred : Bachelor's Degree in psychology or related field Preferred : Previous experience with mental health or age specific population Excellent verbal and written communication skills Exhibits valuable time management skills Strong analytical / problem solving skills. Overview of Unit / Department
Adult Psychiatric Units I and II provide care for adult patients (ages 18-50) experiencing acute mental health needs. Each unit includes 21 beds, divided into two wings : a 14-bed lower acuity wing and a 7-bed higher acuity wing, allowing for tailored, patient-centered care.
These units are built around a strong commitment to safety and creating a supportive, therapeutic environment that promotes healing and mental wellness. Staff play a vital role in fostering stability, trust, and recovery for patients during vulnerable moments in their lives.
