Job Summary
We are seeking a Machine shop assistant to join our team. In this position, you will interpret blueprints and drawings to accurately machine Aluminum/Steel/Titanium/Kovar etc.. components and parts. The role will also involve preparation of raw materials, deburring parts and sanding. These are all an integral part of our fabrication process. The ideal candidate will be a hard worker with great attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics
• Heat Holding for Spin Forming
• Conventional Mill & Lathe work optional
• Operate angle grinders, calipers, Height gages and other hand and power tools
• Preparation of raw metal
• Sanding
• Deburring
• Inventory control

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an aerospace machine shop.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents and drawings
• Understanding of all health and safety guidelines
• Ability to build rapport with colleagues.
• Good at Math
• Meticulous and tidy.
• Strong stamina
• Attention to detail
