Position Overview

Responsible for complete project management of new build and rebuild construction projects and expenditures. Manages the construction department.

Position Responsibilities

Prepare for approval all capital projects and expenses, maintain proper documentation for each project and capital account. Generate monthly reports as necessary. Responsible for construction maintenance and new construction; assures compliance with Mediacom standards. Assure that policies and procedures are effectively implemented by managed personnel. Assure compliance of construction requirements with all franchises. Assist with the preparation of the capital and operating budgets; assure proper use of capital expenditures; monitor material status of all projects. Interview, hire, develop, evaluate, discipline and terminate assigned personnel. Coordinate project implementation and management tasks. Be present on-site for project meetings both to ensure effective initial planning and on-going review. Review construction project proposals or plans to determine time frame, procedures for accomplishing project, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects. Maintain all project plans, organization and resources to deliver the respective solutions and services. Responsible for schedules for meetings, budgets and communicating status with management. All other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. 5+ years cable construction environment, including at least two years in management experience. Strong leadership skills with proved ability to work with motivate and mentor employees. Strong organizational and management skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Applicant must be able to independently complete large complex outside plant projects. Must be expert in the area of construction drawing preparation, transmission design, fieldwork and estimates with complete related work order documentation. Must possess expertise in planning, cost-studies, central office, fiber optics, right-of-way negotiation and easement execution. Knowledge of National Electric Codes related to plant construction, maintenance, materials and design is desired.

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $80,000. When making a job offer, we consider several factors in our determination, such as years of related work experience; relevant skills and qualifications; education level; and certifications / licenses.
