Description of Primary Duties
The Missouri Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Missouri State University is seeking a Training Assistant. Under the direction of the Assistant Director, Training & Development, and the Training Coordinator, and Director of the Public Safety Training Center. The Missouri SBDC is responsible for all non-credit training offered through Missouri State University.
The Training Assistant will provide support to the Small Business Development Center and the Public Safety Training Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the coordination of noncredit training programs from set-up to external reporting functions. Responsibilities will include : -Seminar room set-up
This position will also include working one Saturday per month for coordination and set-up of MSUs indoor firing range. This will include cleaning the range and providing facility support working with retired law enforcement officers. Please note : No handling of actual firearms will be required.
Required Qualifications Excellent computer knowledge including Microsoft Office, great communication skills, detail orientation and accuracy are important, as well as the ability to support multiple people and projects simultaneously.
Required Certifications This position is for an undergraduate student and must have summer availability.
Additional Qualifications The ability to operate basic office equipment, including, but not limited to a photocopier, binding machine, 3-hold punch, laptops, and projectors is important.
