Department: Vista Physician Group / ClinicStatus: Non-ExemptReports To: Director of Practice ManagementPosition SummaryVista Health is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Clinic Receptionist to support our Vista Physician Group clinics. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a critical role in ensuring efficient front desk operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.Key ResponsibilitiesGreet and assist patients in a professional, courteous mannerAnswer and manage multiple phone lines, ensuring minimal hold timesSchedule and coordinate patient appointments, including urgent visitsEnter and verify patient information in the EMR system (Athena preferred)Maintain efficient patient flow and clinic scheduling accuracyCommunicate clinic policies and relay messages between patients and providersHandle incoming and outgoing communications via phone, fax, email, and mailCollect payments, balance daily transactions, and follow billing protocolsMonitor and maintain front office supplies and reception area readinessMaintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA standardsSupport team collaboration and uphold Vista Health service standardsCustomer Service & Organizational ExpectationsDemonstrate a strong commitment to Vista Health's Community Cares Program and Standards of BehaviorUtilize VISTA communication principles in all patient interactionsPromptly address patient concerns to ensure a positive experienceFollow all organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standardsParticipate in training, staff meetings, and ongoing professional developmentQualificationsEducation:High School Diploma or equivalent requiredExperience:Prior clinic or healthcare front desk experience preferredSkills:Strong organizational and time management abilitiesProficiency with computers and standard office equipmentAbility to multitask and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced settingExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsWork Environment & Physical RequirementsFrequent sitting, standing, and walking throughout the shiftOccasional lifting (up to 50 lbs) and physical movement (bending, twisting, etc.)May be exposed to infectious diseases and varying patient care situationsMust be able to see and hear clearly with or without correctionWhy Join Vista Health?At Vista Health, we are committed to delivering quality care and exceptional service to our patients and community.
