Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) setting with a patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6
- Perform and manage special procedures including TPN administration, wound care, drain management, Foley catheter care, and narcotic administration
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support patient recovery and treatment plans
- Be prepared to serve on an emergency response or relief team in the event of a declared emergency, as directed by unit management
Required Qualifications
- Active Compact or Louisiana RN license — must be in hand at time of submittal
- ACLS and BLS certifications required (AHA certifications specifically required)
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required
- NURSYS report must be submitted with profile and must be current (within 4 weeks of submission date)
- Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (based on address on driver's license) to be eligible — local travelers are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- LTAC experience is not required — first-time travelers to this setting are welcome to apply
- Block scheduling may be considered
- Familiarity with high-acuity patient populations and complex care needs
